Made with a unique 3D Nylantium fabric, this hat is strong and protects from the sun with a UPF 50+ rating while remaining only 4 ounces. The hat is water repellent and machine washable, guaranteed by Tilley never to shrink. It features a mesh ventilating crown and a 3 1/2" front/back 2 1/2" side nylon brim. Excellent for any activity from sailing to gardening where shade and cool airflow are needed the most.

It doesn't look as ratty-cool as my straw Stetson, but try running your Stetson through the washer. Tilley's dirty secret: They make money on their replacement warranty - so they WILL honor that warranty in a heartbeat. I have never needed a replacement, though. All of my Tilley hats are still good as gold.
